The Puketapu is a ‘Classic Kiwi Country Pub’ on the bike trails and in the heart of Puketapu, with great food, relaxed atmosphere and family friendly. Open 7 days a week, Monday from 3pm, Tuesday to Friday 11.00am to close and Saturday/Sunday 10.00am to close. Extensive menu, large drinks list and great coffees, with a beautiful garden bar.
Puketapu Hotel was built in 1885 and burnt down in 1928. It was rebuilt and extended over the following years. It’s a beautiful bike ride from Taradale up one side of the Tutaekuri River and back down the other side, with beautiful farmland scenery and a man-made lake.
